Former president Donald Trump will testify under oath on 15 July in New York legal professional common Letitia James’s investigation into his company practices, according to a court docket submitting introduced Wednesday.

His daughter Ivanka Trump and son Donald Trump Jr will also testify.

News of next month’s testimony is the newest development in the a few-12 months investigation into the previous president’s dealings soon after he failed in an attempt very last month to stop her investigation and ended up paying a $110,000 fine.

James has said investigators have observed “significant evidence” of wrongdoing in the investigation, which has homed in on regardless of whether the Trump Group misstated the values of its true estate properties to receive favorable financial loans and tax deductions.

The attorney common previously claimed her investigation uncovered evidence suggesting that for much more than a decade the company’s monetary statements “relied on misleading asset valuations and other misrepresentations to safe economic benefits”.

The Trumps are scheduled to testify commencing on 15 July, but they have until eventually 13 June to inquire New York state’s best court docket, the courtroom of appeals, to further delay any testimony. The testimony would be postponed if that courtroom issued a stay.

Trump and his little ones had before argued that testifying in the civil investigation would violate their constitutional legal rights because their text could be used in a linked felony investigation led by Manhattan District Lawyer Alvin Bragg.

Trump has continuously denied any wrongdoing and has not been accused of felony wrongdoing. He has named the investigation a “witch-hunt”.
